Poll Question
If you do have an example of this 1936 dot 10 cent in your collection, is the coin in circulated or uncirculated condition?

He is having us on again ! The coin variety he shows (known as the Dot in the wreath variety listed in Zoell) is a die chip that Dean thinks is official mint issue. This is the same kind of variant as the 1947 dot coinage, the 1958 50 cents dot, the 1951 Dollar Dot in field (North Star ). So if you wish to argue semantics with Dean the thread gets lonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggg and ultimately ends badly. He is right when he says "officially mint issued" but it is more properly stated as not officially mint intended. That said this variant of the Dot in Wreath was discovered " Donkeys years" ago and to its credit is fairly scarce especially in higher grades. The best I have owned (still do is VF) the best I have seen is an AU. All the ones I have examined over the years all appear to be from a single die pairing.

Pacific: You are right. I thought that the horse was dead a long time ago or at least so badly injured that it couldn't raise its head again.

Neighhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Appears to be a zombie horse with a Timex watch ............just keeps on ticking. On a more serious side though Okie,I wish that Charlton would do reprints of all of Zoell's major varieties information warts and all. Would sure be welcomed.

Zonad,
The die marker in the upper left leaves appears to be present on the first coin, but not the second coin.
Is this die marker not present on the second coin or is it just that it didn't show in the picture?
Can't tell from the pictures if the other die marker is present or not on either coin.

The mark is on both as well as the dot at one o'clock.

Not in the least.
The coin is dated 1936, there is a dot on the coin and the coin is available in circulated/uncirculated conditions.
