I cannot see your picture, but I think you would know it if you had the 1969-S DDO.

Go take a look on coppercoins.com. I tried to put a link here -- but I'm in an antique browser right now and it didn't work. Anyway, there are good photos on coppercoins.com. If you haven't been there before, look for 'die variety search' in the left column and go from there.

I do see what appears to be a small amount of doubling in Liberty. However, a true 69S DDO would have substantially more doubling than that.

The big one would be noticeable even with images that small. Keep in mind the 1968-1972 cents had a lot of machine damage on these coins. Even the big doubled die had some affected with MD: Machine damaged examples:

A couple of you mention going to the coppercoins.com website which I am very familiar with but has been down since the last update on August 14th.
UPDATE 08/18/14 Problems persist in being able to accomplish the pricing data that we have been planning to publish with the new version of coppercoins, and progress has been quite a bit slower than planned. For the time being I will not post a planned completion date, because they simply come and go. ?

Slamnbass. I still get what I mentioned when I put coppercoins.com in my browser. You are correct though about going to the date guide where I can see the files. That said though, how do you find the latest updates which used to be accessible from the main/home screen on a quite regular basis? Is 2002 still the latest data in the date guide. I'm double die perplexed.

Don't use the date guide. Use the search on the home page:

I've always found the date guide easy and quick but now that you've pointed the search out that looks real interesting-I'm gonna play with that a little now, thanks!
