I cannot find anything close to this except the 1944-1DO-019, The eye looks good but I cannot find any other markers. Also, there is something else going on I do not understand. First, am I correct about the DDO?

The bottom right of the first 4 leg has a clear split at the base. There is a trail on the right of the first four and two trails on the right of the second. This does not look like PMD to me.

The entire obverse has concentic rings around it.

Any ideas?

The doubling looks correct on the eye lid. The date is master die doubling for this year. Very common to find this on that year. I'll do some looking around to see if anything is listed on the CONECA disk.

added:
No match there for this die. It looks like one that should be listed. You would need to submit it from the Variety Vista page if you want to have it listed. You might submit an image to James Wiles first to see what he thinks. I still have one I need to send in to a couple of attributers. But the coin was struck with a die in a MDS range and maybe a bit fresher. Nice find though.

Nice find. The concentric line could be lathe lines.

Alright Coop-you got me stumped. I see what looks to be a clash, but I cannot get it to match up with an overlay (couldnt find a good image of a '44). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

It looks to me as if it would match if the overlay was moved a bit SW. But is it possible to have an off center die clash?

Your overlay is incorrect.

The images for an overlay should be flipped horizontal and rotated 180 for the proper alignment during the strike.
