I picked this nickel up for a really good price and wanted to see what the CCF Members had to say about her in comparison to an old white ANACS holder.

Thank you for your interest!

I'm not able to tell if this is light circulation or just a weak strike and late die state. Either AU53 or MS62.

The reverse is weakly struck.
I'll venture an AU-58. Just the lease hint of a rub on the cheek and hair.

I thought the reverse was fairly strong - there's some detail on the left ear of corn. 63 in my book.

I can see the weak hair as noted by Matt (immediately under the Liberty tiara). There's some detail missing there. The rest of the coin looks solid. This could go either way. AU-58
Rest in Peace

It looks like it could go MS-63 but if it's circulated you got one heck of a coin for AU money.

I'm torn on AU/BU. There's one scratch left of CENTS that looks maybe postmint, but the only "wear" on the obverse is precisely where strike weakness first shows on this issue. The pics are pretty good, so I decided to come down on the Mint State side.

These nickels confuse me with the poor hair detail, so I'll split the difference at MS60.

I'll guess they called it AU-58.
