I'm not at all worried about 80k for the coin; that's just about retail. So he's fine as long as he plans on keeping it, because this one's going to appreciate.

Yeah, I saw that. It's why I said he's in trouble earlier; the only way it works is if he keeps it. Poor choice of words on my part.

Will be interesting to see what the reserve is. To make any money Rick would need to see it go for around 95k$ unless he has some special deal with HA.
Amazing the FUN auction showcasing the coin was timed perfectly with the airing of the episode where he bought the coin. Absolutely amazing!

Can you imagine how popular the Peace dollar series would be if all of them had been minted in high relief?

Dr T...
Rick would be running your coin down from the get go.
He'd tell you about all the problems it's got..... how it would "sit around the shop for years"...... how nobody wants key date coins with problems.
He'd then offer you maybe 3 or 4 thousand dollars for it (maybe!) and try to make you think that is a good deal.

That's when the Dr asks him what he was thinking when he dropped Eighty Large on that Peace dollar.

What are the current "surfaced" or known to exist numbers for the Low relief vs the high relief proof versions?

I'm not positive of my numbers but call it 6-8 High Relief and maybe 3 Low Relief.

What episode # was this? I somehow missed the episode, and I want to watch it.
