amac44 Member United States 3242 Posts	Posted 09/13/2007 11:11 am I was just wondering it anyone see any VAM on this 1890-P Image: 1890obv.jpg 57.8 KB Image Insert: Image: 1890rev.jpg 66.36 KB Image Insert: I know the picture is small but there a spot on it chin about 1/8 inch long like a die crack and some doubling of the Left side obverse and a little on IGWT on the reverse Image: 1890a.jpg 57.54 KB Image Insert: this is under chin Image: 1890b.jpg 59.97 KB Image Insert: Image: 1890c.jpg 50.4 KB die crack Image Insert: Image: 1890d.jpg 84.81 KB the ear looks doubled Image Insert: IGWT no doubling that I can see.Is there a spot to for me to look ? maybe this will help? Bryan1315 Bedrock of the Community United States 14454 Posts	Posted 09/13/2007 12:57 pm the pictures are to small to see any characteristics that would stand out to try and attribute it as to what VAM it may be. All Morgans are a VAM, they may be a VAM-1 which means they are just a regular coin minted with regular dies but each Morgan dollar are actually a VAM none the less, its the different attributes the coin shows which makes it change from a VAM-1 to another specific VAM #. What I usually do is look the coin over myself and see if I can see any doubling,unique die cracks or anything else that you don't see normally on a coin and then take some good shots of those specific things I think I see and go from there Edited by Bryan1315 09/13/2007 12:58 pm Report this Post to the Staff
