Looks like we're going to be getting a new electronic photomicroscope here at work. I was just playing with the newest instrument from Zeiss....man oh man....this thing is just AWESOME. It will be super for taking closeups of coins.  |

Ya well I just got a new drop light at work ! so there !  Oh ya and some new welding gloves !  Needless to say ,,I would rather have the new Microscope !  Metalman |

Zeiss, best of the best. Once I nearly bought a Zeiss rifle scope, but ended up getting a Leupold. Water under the bridge now...

Zeiss optics are top quality stuff. I have a couple scopes around the lab with Zeiss lenses. Unfortunately, they are inverted microscopes so no good for coins  |

It would be difficult to understand the actual advantages of that microscope, due to just a verbal description, so I would suggest you send it to me for approval. If this is impractical, please let me know where I can bring my coins for examinations.  I love that little laughing thing. |

It's not actually ours yet. We just had a rep come in and demo the system. He's coming back soon to demo a higher end one for us. The one he bought in is not good enough for our needs.....I can't wait to play with the next one too!
