Thank you guys. However, Rastatodd, I'm not from the UK. I'm just stationed over for the time being. My get out of jail free card (return to the US) is coming in Aug.

Here it is: 1967 25 cents/Canadian.   I had to shoot the pic at an angle to avoid glare so the coin looks a bit like an oval, which it isn't. However, many of the little scratches vanished. LOL I think the coin saw a bit of use but was not heavily circulated. |

I picked this set up off of Craigslist, framed for the sum of $5. It now hangs on the wall by my computer desk I refer to "Stacking Central". I wouldn't sell it for anything. I bought it off a young man in his mid twenties imagining it was his fathers or grandfathers and hung in his den. Maybe his elders were citizens of Canada possibly in 1967 during Canada's Centennial celebration.   |

 I love it! There's something special about an inexpensive set like that. Somebody treasured it once. I'm glad that somebody treasures it now.  |

Yes, RES I did luck out. I was to meet the seller in a Walgreen's parking lot and was so wondering if he was going to show. Cause I am a stacker of precious metals my thought was to flip the set for a profit to buy more silver. The seller did show transaction took place. I got back in my car and inspected my find and found that someone took the time to matte and frame these coins so it must of been important to that person. Now I found it being important enough for me as to get a hammer and nail and mount the collage on my den wall. Canadian coinage and banknotes hold a place in my heart for some reason maybe it's the excellence the Royal Canadian Mint strives for all that they do. They do one h*ll of a job in my opinion. Sorry for long winded story my fingers and mind run-th over.  |

RES, I think having a fun and relatively inexpensive collection has made collecting a lot more enjoyable for both my husband and me. I have a short shopping list when I go to coin shows but after an hour or so of serious coin-hunting it's fun to sit and sort through a junk bin looking for critter coins.

Wow, I'm amazed at that collection. I'm going to start going through a bunch of my world grab bags and sorting critters.
