I have a Arkansas State Quarter and it weights 6.05 grams. Anyone know why it is over weight?

Too many beers and bags of pork rinds?

How does it compare with other quarters, esp in diameter and thickness.

Have you checked the scale?

it is possible to be experimental planchet because there are some Experimental Planchets that weigh in that range but are on the 1999 DE, PA, CT, GA and NJ State Quarters and they are slightly thicker

The correct weight should be 6.67 grams. So it may be under weight.

Coop errored. The coppernickel clad is 5.67 grams, and the 90% silver versions are 6.25 grams. Mint tolerances would allow a clad piece to go up to 5.9 grams and still be within tolerance.
