I think you did fine, but that depends on your goals. If you are looking to kick start a LWC set, then fine. If you are making an investment, then not so fine. It's not that the coins, don't have value, it's that selling wheat cents is painful. Most collectors have small stashes and dealers have them by the bin full.
In your set, most of the value is in the pre depression coins, especially if they are on the higher end of VFish. Another thing to consider is that to get the same set from rolls, you'd have to get dozens and then after sorting, you'd need to figure out what to do with the 2000 leftovers.
