I would recommend cropping your pics. It wastes Bobbys disk space. And plus, the middle 2 pics are the best. That looks like someone gilded the quarter with gold. I have never seen one like that before, usually people plate them with gold. I would keep it.

looks like some company gold plated or gilded the portraits on the obverse and reverse. I would keep it for being unique, but its probably only worth 25 cents.

To CCF! I hope you will find this forum as awesome as I have!
Looks like someone plated it, and as others have said There is really no more value to it other than $0.25 and the fact that it is pretty cool. I'd keep it.

Calm down, man. These images aren't excessive.

to the Community!

I agree, it looks plated. Created for novelty, but no added value.

Hiya Janderson and

Hard to see exactly from the photos but is part of the coin gold and part silver? Looks like the devices are golden.

Interesting coin.

I am really just reiterating others in saying it was plated as a novelty. However, I would keep it anyway because it looks neat.

My LCS buys gold plated coins for slightly over face, because there are some people who will buy them. So it may not be worth just 25 cents if you find the right buyer.

Thank you for the responses everyone. Answering CelticKnot's question it looks like it was dipped? in silver and then plated. The edge is all silver and the coin is half silver half plated as shown. This is a really shiny coin. I will hang onto it.
