New to forum with so many questions and too few answers. I just received this Victorian Large penny. It is a 189?, my questions:

1)is this an error coin or is the last digit just worn off?
2)any guesses to the actual date
3)is the slash at the bottom on reverse and obverse mint made or man made?
4) Does this coin have any value? If so why and what value you place on it?

Thanks for your help!

It's an Obv 4, so it's 92-99, but can't be a '98 because that was an H mintmark. The gash on both sides is man-made, so PMD. The coin itself is well-worn but appears to be dished in left of the Queen's neck and to the right of the hair ribbon. Those dishes on the Obverve press out the Reverse and those spots will wear more; in this case wearing away the last digit and the C & T. It has very little value and is the kind found in dealer's junk bins 2 or 3 for a dollar.

maybe Dr Haxby or Bosox can shed light on to this mystery.
But I think they would need more detailed images.
