Happy new year to all!

I have a blank planchet I would like to try to identify.

It is 6.53 grams. It is 26mm across. It is non magnetic and silver in colour (but it isn't silver).

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

My best guess is that if it is a Royal Canadian Mint produced planchet, then it is a United Arab Emirates 1988 or 1989 50 Fils copper-nickel planchet...

If it was produced elsewhere... well, that would be a long search in the Krause catalogue.

Thanks for the info SPP.

I was hoping for a Canadian planchet but I couldn't find anything myself.

I think the closest Canadian is a loonie planchet missing the clad layer but it is magnetic and mine isn't. I found that coin here...
