While it reminds of Sasanid coins, to the best of my knowledge this is a 'temple token'.

It looks a bit like this type of Drachme.
SASSANIDE - SAPOR II Drachme

2nd? I was thinking the first?
I would say it is a Shapur I AR drachma.
They only reason I say that is because of the "snoopy ears" on his crown.

This coin seems to be perfectly circular. Could you post some detail of the edge? It does not have the fabric of a Sassanian drachm, but I am not deterred from thinking it is a temple token, in the Sassanian style, of a later period.

This is a very nice silver drachm of the Sassanian King Shapur I.

I don't see any problem with this coin, they were well struck and there flans were well rounded.

Thank you all for your comments. I can make more pictures. But I don't think it is nescessary. For this type it is normal that they are round like this. I was wondering if someone can give me an full description off this coin? Ive seen tonss of shapur I coins but I can't find an identique example. I don't know how much varities you have of these coins? It is my first sassanian coin. Best wishes, Vincent

Thank you kindly for your determination. I see the determination looks almost the same. There are probably some small varities. With letters above or more down the coin.
