I really like this predator/prey series...got my first today and have ordered the next in the series (Grizzly/Salmon). Its a mintage of 2,000 and priced accordingly but I find them really nice looking. I'm not real sure who "Armageddon Mint" is - they're here in Texas and I guess commissioned these...for Cook Islands? And, as you can see, in addition to a COA included a cool hand-drawn rendition. Someone with more knowledge can perhaps enlighten me how this works...you design and commission and can call yourself a mint?

The legal definition of 'mint' is a bit more lax than one may think. There is at least one 'mint' who was or may still be a defendant in a Hoby protection act case that has said in court that they do not mint anything but the word mint is in the company name.
I look at it like the legal definition of 'Free Range Chicken' Sounds like that chicken has the run of the range, doesn't it? In fact the government defines a free range chicken as one having access to the outdoors for any amount of time each day.

I think it's a pretty cool design. Will you keep sharing pics of the series as you acquire them?

That's quite a nice concept. Definitely a rest from all of the world mint fodder with legends and such. I hope the reverse has some bullion features like the weight and purity. I think that if the dies are made properly and proof then it's worth getting, if not it's just like those zombie coins - dead. I don't quite understand what the yingyang has to do with the design, as they don't eat each other; you need the whole animal kingdom to complete that circle of life.

So they came out with the 3rd coin this fall (Eagle/Rattlesnake), I think the best one so far. But the interesting thing is they are now doing a crowd funding campaign to let the coin buyers decide what the last coin is going to be. First time I've heard of that. Will be really interesting to see how that goes. Any thoughts on what the last coin should be? https://www.kickstarter.com/project...-coin-design
