I have been looking for these two CBRM transit tokens for about a year and a half, at one point I had that statement as my signature. kuh_85 was kind enough to send me a link saying that asynpm had one listed. (thanks kuh_85, you are truly a stud!) asynpm uses pay pal which I do not have. My friend said she would use her pay pal for me but she never did. I watched it sell for $0.99 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Canada-Cape-...em2eda03c4a5So anyways last night I was emailing SPP-Ottawa about possible picking up some Maritime exonumia and just happened to ebay search "Transportation token". Low and behold I seen this lot up for auction! http://www.ebay.ca/itm/4-Interestin...refresh=trueI watched this auction for the last 2 hours and won it with a $1.99 bid! A year and a half and I am half way there! Just wanted to show off my latest acquisition.

You are about eight months too late... I had two full sheets of Cape Breton Transportation tokens (Canso Causeway, Cape Breton Tramways, etc.) in a large exonumia binder at coin shows for the past three years. Eight months ago, I consigned the entire binder (which also had Nova Scotia dairy tokens and exonumia) to the Fall Coin Expo Geoffrey Bell Auction... I even had the scarcer school bus tokens. I could have filled your entire want list at once... That said, the binder sold extremely well at the auction http://www.icollector.com/Lot-of-Ex...ia_i20499221

I remember that lot (and other lots from said auction) and wishing I was there to see all the pieces!

As nice as that would have been SPP-Ottawa this way I still get some more time to enjoy the hunt.
Whenever you get anything Maritimes, especially New Brunswick or Cape Breton, and you want to sell it you could probably twist my arm into sending you some money.

I find that some of the Bell Museum tokens are tough to track down for some years. This one is the toughest. The 1984 McPuffin Dollar, but with the Silver Dart on one side, and the other side commemorating the visit of Prince Michael of Kent. It was handed out to school kids, who visited Baddeck for the 75th anniversary and replica of the Silver Dart out on the ice of the Bras d'Or Lakes - I got mine as a school kid, as I was there, and have never seen another in 30 years.

It's not an easy one to come by. I've had three (still have two, the other I gave to a close friend - I picked that particular one up in the Bernie Kline auction after he passed - he had two himself), but have a definite fondness for it. I was reading a book on the Oland family of Moosehead beer fame the other night and it mentioned how PW Oland survived the explosion as a child when the Oland brewery was demolished and I immediately thought that, since he died in 1996, he was likely issued a medal in 1992 as a survivor!

Neat! Yes, I actually bought the CBRM token from Citadel coins, thank you for the heads up.
I now actually have doubles of one of Woodstock, NBs silver tokens so I might shop it around for a possible trade in with a fellow trade token collector.

Not very often I find a new piece of Cape Breton exonumia, but I picked this one up recently. I actually remember this event, as a young teenager growing up in Cape Breton.

Ah, so you snatched that off ebay! According to my catalogue, there were 1000 issued.

What catalogue would that be?
