I found this forum during my hunt on Google to see if I could find another LMC with this error, but after 3+ hours of digging I've come up with nothing. It appears to be several raised dots in a slightly curved line that start at Lincoln's eye level near the right side of the rim and then go down through the 1 in the date and end right at the bottom rim. It's not something stuck to the coin, and it appears to have aged like the rest of the obverse has. As soon as I saw it in a lot of cents I was going through, I put it aside and put it in a tiny ziplock baggie. Any ideas? I'll try to get better photos, my camera's on the fritz but I might be able to wing it.

To CFF!
IMHO, what you have here looks to me like PMD (post mint damage) and its not really worth anything more than a cent. However, there is the rare instance when I'm wrong, so just sit tight and wait for the error experts!

If you can, post some closer pictures Out of the bag? Both sides. Just to have a better look.

Hi, it is just damaged. You can't usually tell what did the deed but the damage happened after the coin left the Mint.

It took a lot of majiggering, but I got it to take some decent pics of the coin.

That doesn't look like PMD to me. The Marks look raised. Not sure what that could.

They look indented to me. If they are perhaps a pattern wheel made these on the coin. They use these on pattern transfer to material on material to cut out from a pattern.
