This contest will be a chance for members to show off their lowest-grade lowball coins (not necessarily by wear, to keep this contest interesting ). The prize: the most-worn Liberty nickel I have in my collection, a good candidate for PR-0.25 (Will post pictures later) and maybe some other lowball coins as I find them so to make this contest worthwile to the participants. Remember, you can't win if you don't participate.

The rules :

1. CHANGED: Post up to TWO (2) of your worst coins in your collection in the time frame of 7 January 2014 12:00 AM to 15 January 2014 12:00 AM. You can post as many images as you want of these coins (within reason, please ). (This way you can post both a worn coin and a damaged coin if you so wished). Each entry will be considered seperately.

2. CCF members will vote on the worst coin from 15 January 2014 12:00 AM to 20 January 2014 12:00 AM.

3. I will PM the winner (the individual with the most votes) to get the address to which to send the coin(s). The coin(s) will be sent to that address free of charge. You will need 50 or more posts by the end of this contest in order to be able to be PM'ed.

4. I will not vote so the contest will not be skewed by my vote. However, I will vote in the event of the tie.

5. I would prefer it if only those in the US participate. (Sorry everyone else )

6. I reserve the liberty to amend these rules ONLY if needed.

So begins the contest. Everyone, POST YOUR LOWBALLS!

Before I post, will a coin destroyed by PMD count (vise job)? I'm not sure how to ask since you said it doesn't have to be from wear.

Its completely up to the OP but I think it should be from natural wear(atleast mostly).

My original intent was for CCF members to post the lowest grade or lowest net grade coin in their collections via wear or damage. However, each entry will be at the mercy of your fellow CCF members, not me.

However, I may alter the rules so that each member can post up to 2 coins so they can have an honestly well-worn coin and a damaged coin if they wanted to. What do you guys think?

Even better since I was debating on which one would be a better candidate (no damage, just honest wear);

IMO, honest wear is the direction you should go.
