Here come enlarged scans of mintmark D and the arrowhead (2,5 US$ 1911 D). I see a very fine line above arrowhead, but don't know if it's the typical sign, SsuperDdave.

PMD is an acronym that stands for post mint damage or damage that occurred after the coin left the mint.
