Too bad it's in an ICG holder, but right now it looks priced right.

MS-62?

First Mint State modernish coin I have seen that looks like someone left it in the crankcase of their car for a 10W-40 bath

IMO the problem isn't the holder, the problem is the grade assigned to the coin.
Put it in a PCGS holder at MS-62 and I still would think it's overgraded.

IMO they eye appeal just isn't there on this one. That does not look like an MS-62 to me. I would have passed.

I like the grunginess but would prefer they hadn't polished most of it off. Probably uncirculated though.

Mushy strike. Price is OK for what it is.

I trust ICG on these; it could be a technical 64.

Yes, I think we were discussing another one exactly like this a while back. So was it a worn die, or a poor strike? Or neither?

I'm hoping it's a combination of strike weakness and imagery. As I said, I think ICG does OK with these and I don't see them mistaking an AU50 (which is what the coin looks like) with a Mint State coin.
