Hey guys, I'm new to the sight and am having trouble uploading pics. Whenever I try to upload, It says the photo has to be under 100kb. Most of my photos are 500kb-1mb. How do you get your kb's that low? Or any other advice on how to upload pictures to the site? Thx!

Two ways to do it easily:

1. put your picture on a hosting site and use the 'insert image' (little yellow icon) tag on top of the create/reply screen
2. if your image is below 100K use the 'upload image tag' at the bottom of the create/reply screen

Underneath where you click to upload the image to a post, there is a link for an "Image optimizer". That will resize your images so they can be uploaded easily. Then you save the image to your desktop and upload that smaller image.

If you are good with photo editors, usually there is a way to resize and change the compression level in those. But the image optimizer is literally one or two clicks, so use that when in doubt.

I thought I had figured it out, I got one pic posted, but others won't load. I guess I'll figure it out?

I avoid the size problem by linking to my images rather than uploading them.
