Hi, LeeG here. I'm a big fan of the Early Classic Commemorative series of coins, 1892-1954. I'm currently doing research around the series and hope to get some help here. Hoping to publish a book on the series some day.
Thank you,
Lee

Lee - to the CCF and the commemorative forum. There are some very knowledgeable commemorative members who frequent these pages ... I'm confident they will be along and introduce themselves. Hopeful to learn more about the state of your collection (we enjoy photos!) and plans for the upcoming book topic. I suggest as a good starting point to begin to know the members interests is the recently complete 'Days Of' thread ... https://goccf.com/t/187113&whichpage=1Enjoy your time at the CCF and we look forward to the interaction. David

to the Community! Quote: I suggest as a good starting point to begin to know the members interests is the recently complete 'Days Of' thread ... I agree, that is a great start. The next step would be to read these threads in the "Commems Collection" series. Although they are linked within the Days Of thread, this provides a decent list for reference... http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...llection:%22

@ jbuck ... nice compilation of all those valued threads ... I enjoyed a nice CCF mini-journey in reading a few again.
@ LeeG - apparent by photo and certification to be a nice gem MS example of the ever popular Stone Mountain issue.
We enjoy photos ... Thanks for the initial one.
Hopeful that you continue to share images and insight from your collection ... politely suggest that any new photos be displayed in their own tread so that we can respond appropriately to each.

@LeeG: Welcome to the US Commemoratives section of CCF - I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I'm familiar with your knowledgeable posts about the series elsewhere, hopefully you'll share some of the same info here.
Nice Stone Mountain, it appears to have very nice luster and strong visual appeal! Thanks for sharing the images.
@jbuck: Thanks for providing the link to some of my previous posts - I'll have to "hire" you to run publicity for me! I need to go back and revisit some of my early posts about the series (before I got long-winded). My initial posts were quite limited in content!

You will find collecting the Early Commemoratives a daunting task to collect them all or even 1 of each will be a challenge. They are truly amazing in some of their designs. I plan on collecting them all but my money won't let me do that and finish my modern commemorative set; but I did manage to collect all 18 of the B.T. Washington's in MS64-66. It took me almost 3 years to finish that task. I wish you all the best in your collecting of these Classic Commemoratives.
