I have decided to fill the last page in my Washington dansco with different varieties and errors (post-mint or otherwise). This includes blank planchets, rotated dies, a clad and silver S proof, off-centered dies, etc. I am having trouble finding an example of a gold plated coin that isn't a statehood, territory, or ATB Quarter (there is currently one on ebay listed with a starting bid of either $20 or $30. Too much for what it is IMO).
Short of plating my own, has anyone seen an example of this?

Gold-plated coins are not "numismatic" or any sort of variety or error. They are deliberatey damaged coins which can never have numismatic value, and the people who create them are worthy of ridicule. Any money paid for one helps perpetuate a practice which no true collector would deliberately support.

The'll be easy enough to find if you want one, but you'll have to outbid all the fools who think they're worth something.

I agree and would not pay much of a premium. However, they do pop up occasionally and I think it would be interesting to have an example in the back of my album. Similar to how some collect fake coins I guess.

I've been going through quarter rolls since 1972 and have nbever seen a gold plated one except for a 1976.

There just has never been any interest in clad quarters so no reason to plate one.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

They exist, but they are kind of more difficult to find now because of the huge supply of State and ATB.

There are a couple of plated bicentennials and a 1966 on ebay at the moment. The 1966 currently has a $2 opener on it.

That 1966 is kinda cool. I could see myself rescuing that one.
