Went to the bank this afternoon and decided to pick up some Atlante $2 bills is they were nice and crisp. Which they were.
While I don't think that the 2003A $2 bills are anything special (at this point of time) I got $20 of them in 2 sets of 5 consecutive numbers.
I know that I'll never see any appreciation in them for more years that I have left but I figure the grandkids may see something after they retire.
This brings to mind a couple of questions about this particular bill series:
1: Has this denomination been printed with any more current presidential appointee signatures? The bill are crisp with no folds, bends, creases, and most importantly no staple holes.
2: I would have much preferred to have 10 bills with consecutive numbers rather than 2 sets of 5 bills in consecutive order. Is there or will there ever be some premium for 5 or 10 bills in consecutive order when a body does decide to see them at some point in the far off future?
