A strange coin to me...

Any idea of grade?

There's nowhere near enough hair visible on the head and moustache for me to grade it above VF.

Has that coin been gilded, or does the yellow colour just come from the lighting? It's supposed to be bronze...

It does look as if it has been gilded or oiled or had shellac applied in its life, F-aVF or so.

Second time I've been done on ebay in the last week... I bought a polished coin recently because
it looked nice and shiny I overpaid and this blummin' thing with the weird appearance, and I must admit
I thought it seemed strange when I received it to... ah well, you live and learn!

My choice XF is based (technically) on what I perceived to be the amount of rub on the head. I agree the detail is flat, but not knowing how well they struck these and the photo is how I based my grade. Plus, I the leaves appear to be not heavily worn. The right side appears a bit flat, but I'm thinking strike. I could be waaaaaay off on this coin if I saw it in hand. I'm just basing it on the photos and my gut. Plus, I'm wondering is that lots of luster we're seeing or has it been harshly cleaned? Again, tough to tell by the photo.
