I am confused and need education regarding the issue for

MINT DATE & TYPE on LOW BALLs PO-01 coins.

In the case of a 1976 (P) Eisenhower, there was never a (P) on the coin.

Can anyone show the PCGS rules on that particular situation?

I do not belong to any TPGer system.

Please show link or copy and paste, rules.

All opinions-thoughts-ideas welcomed.

Thank you kindly. ~`~`~` ~`~`~`

You touch on the essense of what makes Ikes such an attractive issue for Lowball enthusiasts: the mint mark can survive almost into basal condition due to its' location. P01's of every issue are possible. So your Philadelphia coin is obvious by the absence of a mint mark, absolutely sure down to P01.

Forgot to say Thank you, Dave. I am so behind on CCF stuff. Health issues, etc., etc.

The (P) is in this group

I think the top one is damaged but the bottom 2 look good as long as you can tell the dates with certainty. As I mentioned, the mint mark or lack thereof should take care of itself.

One might gamble a little levis pocket time.

I like the coin as it is, and I would like it more if it was a little smoother.

I am not going to slab it. But if I ever sell it they most likely will slab.

Maybe I will get out my sander and smooth it a little.

If you're sending a 1976 Ike in make sure that the reverse is strong enough to differentiate between a Type 1 and Type 2.
