Quote: But you propably know that already... Nope -- All I could really make out was the SIG III DG. The R of REX looks like part of the portrait, so it looked something like SIG III D.G. EXPO ...

Here is a British Double Crown of James I 1615-1616 Tun mm. I know that this wont count as either a 1615 or 1616, so it cant advance the thread but I thought I would post it anyway. I hope that is ok.

I really like that gold double crown. ---------------------------------------------- Hungary -- 1615 denar: Compared to that double crown, Hungarian denars are about as unimpressive as you can get, except maybe for Lithuanian solidus and Polish half-grosz coins. (nothing more from me until 1613)

Okay, I think that's not a Lithuanian solidus or a Polish half-grosz. It's a Polish solidus, right? Sigismund III of Poland, solidus issued for the Free City of Riga, 1615. (To the best of my knowledge, aside from one coin with a several-year minting period, I have nothing else to show until 1600, and nothing with a pre-existing photo until 1599. Sorry.)
