Thank you both for keeping it going.

I might need to set the title as we have done for the other threads.

I have an 1597 coin (another wire kopek), but no photo of it, sadly (not even a webcam one).

Where is the coin? Where is your camera? Can the two get together soon?

Why is this thread stuck?

Yes sorry just not on my radar--I'm more focused on finding a 1491 coin to post on the second edition. I should be able to post pics of a 1597 here tonight.

perfect timing @o-train!

Here is my 3 groshen from 1597 also minted in Poland (Olkusz mint). The obv inscription is SIG III DG R POLON MDL and the rev inscription is III GROS ARG TR R POLONI 97. The attribution is Kopicki 1055.

I'm glad to see this thread unstuck, if only for one year.

Here's a 1596 Poland 3 grosz (groschen) coin:

Nothing more from me until 1593 (I think). Let's hope the thread doesn't get stuck at 1595 or 1594.

I went ahead and change the title to 1595, but no posting the 1595 until after midnight forum time (US Eastern Daylight Time or GMT-0400).
