Why is this called "SAXONY 'THREE BROTHERS' THALER"?
There are 4 names on it: It is a coin from Christian, with the three brothers (I think):
Christian II with the brothers Johan, George and August
Here is all you need:

Or perhaps this:
This site does not allow "*** Staff Edit: Correct ***".
Please copy this in google: /item/1600-Thaler-Christian-II-Johann-Georg-and-Augustus-Three-Brothers-Thaler-COPY-COIN/32328939809.html

@petrus, the middle brother has a double first name: Christian, Johann George, and August.

Nice work @giljan and welcome to CCF! I hope you've got some more 16th Century coins to post as we count backwards through the years.

Here is a 4 Cavalli from the Italian city states of Naples and Sicily. It was minted in 1591, although only the "91" is really visible on the rev. The attribution is Ek 344.
