1938 silver French 20 francs. This coin is quite large (33mm) and was designed by P. Turin. This is the last date officially issued for circulation - a handful of specimens dated 1939 exist. When next issued in 1950, the 20-franc denomination was a small aluminium-bronze coin...

300th anniversary of New Sweden's settlement in Delaware. 1938 2 Kronor, starring the Kalmar Nyckel, the ship that took them there. Slightly larger than a US half dollar.

1937 French aluminium-bronze 2-franc coin, designed by Morlon. The 2F denomination was introduced in 1803 as a 90% silver coin; the silver content was reduced to 83.5% in 1862 and eliminated altogether in 1920 after inflation reduced the value of the French franc by about 70% during World War I. World War II saw further inflation and the coin was struck in aluminium from 1941:
