Since we hit 1916 (yesterday) ...on our way to 1892 ..
I am guessing we will see more Barber coins.

You guys keep posting those nice Pan Pacific halves ...

I keep kicking myself for not buying some when I had a
chance .. In the past.

Couple years ago I was working a deal to buy a Pan Pacific
silver medal, I think around 200 were minted. The guy died
before the deal was made.


Seeing these today ... Makes me want some.

1914 and the start of World War I. Perhaps a British Tommy took this shilling with him to the trenches...

One of the first numismatic dreams I remember was about being given a 1914 shilling in change by a beautiful girl who sold student newspapers. Sadly the dream never came true and I had to buy this coin at my LCS!
