Yesterday I picked up these 2 Cents.. I think it's difficult to grade these cents.. My guess: 1922 EF40 1923 VF20 For me these are good enough for my world by date collection.. Should I give them a "aecton bath" ? Also I'm curious what a good price is for these 2.. I didn't paid to much I think.. 1922 1922 1923 1923

Would there be any way of having clearer pictures (a bit more light)? From the looks of it, you're grading is pretty accurate for the 1922, but I think the 1923 could be a bit higher than VF20. But I'd still need clearer pictures to give my final thought.

Yea In my opinion the '23 would grade higher than the '22... -'22- VF35 -'23-EF40 There's barley any luster remaining keeping it from an AU grade I believe. Just MHO tho.
Nice small cents!!

First of all, these coins look fine, don't try and mess with them with acetone, the bronze coins from this series turn an odd colour when you do.
The 1922 is a solid EF (or XF by world standards). The 1923 is EF-45 to AU-50, in my opinion.

I thought that the 1923 would grade lower because of the wear of George's necklace.. The 1922 one has less wear there..

Compare the rims between the two coins and the tips of the leaves on the reverse...
