Hello can anyone tell me if this is a coin /counter / game piece/token? Which country it might be from?
I purchased this small about the size of a US Half Dime piece in a lot of ancient coins sometime back and would value the knowledge of this forum. The image appears to be pressed into clay. I know through the centuries different materials were used as currency and would like your take on it. Thank You very much

Agreed. The style and surfaces are not consistent with vintage token or tesserae.

Let me add, that it mimics the style of horse on Punic coinage.

While the piece my look ancient in design, I agree with the others that it is most likely some type of modern token.

I'll leave the thread here to see what others have to say about it.
