Quote: they will hold the big Eisenhowers for you, but they will keep the silver Ikes and Morgans for themselves. If they know how to diffentiate the silver Ikes from the clad ones. Unlike the Morgans, Peace, & ASE, most bank tellers don't even know the silver Ikes exist. I didn't until just a few years ago.

I didn't until just a few years ago. That is my plan-hope-expectation, for all the trouble, time and chocolates. So far no AG, but lots of fun and visiting with very nice ladies. I only met (today) 1 crabby (young) lady. Basiscly she took (grabbed) the chocolate out of my hands and dismissed me. Of the 114 IKEs so far on this new style of hunt, is many '76 (P) type 2 BU-GEM quality. Two BU-GEM 72 (P) type 3, and several 77 -- 78 P&D to add. A few 1974 (P & D) 4 bank stops today. More to follow.

4 bank stops today. More to follow. Follow up Just got home from a back pain management injection. Won't take the surgery yet. As far as the chocolate system goes, it it too early to see if it is economically worth while. If I figure in pleasant new acquaintances, it is very worth it. I even offered to "lunch" with my Credit Union Manager. She is the one who called, and sent me to another branch, with the 95 IKEs. I feel if things continue to grow with her, we will be (coin) friends & bird dog BANKER, not acquaintances. Truth is I really like her. The best part of her abilities, is she seems to be able to control the other branches(some). I took her chocolates in a few days ago. Yesterday SHE emailed me, just saying "how did you know I needed chocolates today? I emailed back and said I have some things to do, but I would drop in latter. We visited about 25+ moments. All small talk, and fresh chocolates. She collects Kennedy half dollars, and I gave her a set of BU-GEM 2001 P and 2001 D. She smiled. ~`~`~`` The bank I got 10 IKEs from this last week, I returned yesterday for their chocolates. Lucky me, the Branch manager was there, and graciously invited me into her office. We visited more than 30 minuets. Small talk, friendly. Evaluation with her she just might instruct the tellers to save (IKEs) for me. Ha! I had already given chocolates to tellers. So I left her office, and got a fresh portion of chocolates and put them on her desk. Ha!

Roll hunters unwittingly volunteer to the tellers info on silver all the time, committing roll hunting Hari-Kari.

I do say I am a collector. If they ask I say I am looking for better conditioned coins, I am hoping to get some GEM-UNC stuff. 16 day UP-DATE No real good news. I did send an email 2 days ago. Manager emailed back this morning, and said she is on the hunt for my IKEs. Have not heard a word from the other 3-4 (chocolate activated) sites. Side note on the $1,000 BAGs. Beginning to think-believe they are systematically being striped out or hoarded or something. Driving me over the edge nuts.

For all my tellers that pilfer silfer, a silver dime is assumed to be worth a small fortune, gotta be, they have customers asking all the time for halves or silver coins...tellers take their silver hoard down to the local LCS (jeweler) that pay's 'em a whopping buck ea for 40%, maybe two and a half bucks for a 90% half. For the new teller that pulls a "silver dollar" clad Ike, !JACKPOT!

So I'msure I know the answer to this but just wanted to confirm. Other then the Silver finds when searching IKEs. Do you all keep a majority of the rest. I come across them in my Half hunting but usually dont keep them if there is no silver content. From a collecter standpoint are they work keeping in general or should I just do more research on mintage, variaties and types. Then go from their.

Gramms gave me an Ike dollar on my birthdays in the '70's, for several years. I've bought hundreds and no silver yet. I bought my brown Ikes in the box for $7 ea a couple years ago, and no milk spots yet! The Ikes I find lately I give to my buddy that vacas w/family in Jamaica and the tropix...the locals love the big dollars for tips -

You can not research them if you do not "get" 'em while you have the chance. ha ~`~`~`~` Use all rollers politeness for tellers, and customers behind you. Then, BUY ALL and get out of line. Most likely no AG. But MS++++ stuff is out there. Use it for your collections, or be nice and sell it to CCFers. Domain555

This first picture is the 95 IKEs I got (about) 3 weeks ago, from my Credit Union System. :) BELOW is the 165 IKES I got today from the same Credit Union SYSTEM. The front row is PHILLY and the back rows are DENVER. No Silver. ~`~`~`(1) 1976 (S) clad nicely toned. First class coin, this one. I believe that a little patience, perseverance, Smiles, kindness, respect, and chocolate does work. Several months ago, I opened a CU account with the direct purpose of developing more than one source of IKEs. At that time I had no idea my $1,000 bag were going to run out. Now is a very short time I have 260 MIGHTY IKEs Every one at the Union was very helpful, and accommodating. I faifully took (2) bags of chocolate and (10) ten new brown paper coin rollers. Hoping they will fill 'em up. Guys, stock up on chocolate.
