Hello,

I recently purchased this example. How would you grade this coin? It has a small rainbow shine which cannot be seen on the pictures. I think that the coin has been dipped but not sure.

Thanks!

I think it is an honest coin with honest patination.
It has seen some circulation, early in it's existence.
Nice acquisition!

Certainly looks AU to me. Very nice coin, haven't seen one before.

Based on the photos I'd say EF45.

I really like that reverse design!

Thanks! It's indeed a nice design. The person I bought it from sold it as an AU (het pictures weren't clear and I had no time to ask for new ones). But since there are 2 varieties of this coin (complete and uncomplete cross on the crown) with the former being scarcer, I didn't make much fuss about it :) It was a small gamble.
