A "bargain bin" rescue. This specimen has an odd mark on the eagle's breast. It sort of looks as if a few dentils of another coin were forcibly impressed into the surface, but I kind of doubt that explanation (I frankly don't even know if that'd be possible). This is one of those coins that might actually benefit from a dip, but I'm not sure it'd really be worth doing.

Interesting mark on the eagles breast. Might it be a bag mark from the reeding of another coin?

It seems too coarse for that. It's almost certainly post mint damage of some type, but it could be be due to something between the die and planchet when it was struck. You'd just never be able to prove that.

Lot of character in this old cartwheel. Slightly (very slightly) circulated, so not a candidate to dip, but welcome in the collection. The mark is almost certainly postmint, one of the things convincing me it's circulated, but it's unlikely you could prove one way or the other.
Rest in Peace

That tattoo on the eagle's breast is denticle transfer for sure. Great rescue!
