Hello all. Hope no one minds me starting a new topic, this is my first post. I haven't done much with coins for about 10 years, but recently have been thinking about putting a few coins and other things on ebay. I just wondered if someone else who has sold there could explain why some of the images posted on the sell pages have those funny violet lines running through them? I guess it must be to discourage others from copying the images for some reason. Does the seller have the option of using this or not, or is this an ebay rule that must be followed? I've noticed this on some other internet sites too. Thanks, Dan
Those marks will only show up on pics that are hosted on ebay. We host our own images and don't have any marks on our pics. Bobby handles all of our pictures, and he is a wizard at it. You may want to do a search for Bobby131313 on ebay and take a look at the pics.
And, by the way, welcome to the forum and start as many new topics as you like!
Ah, I see. Thank you. I suppose to host one's own images you would need special software or knowledge, or is this something even I could do? (ha ha) I don't think I would want those marks on my pics. Thanks.
You just need a website or websapce to host you pictures then you link them to your ebay listing. ebay tells you how in their html tips... Don't use geocities as they will not allow links to ebay on their free pages
