Alright I know what your thinking, not another one of Chris' crazy "I think this is a" threads.
I really looked this one over and compared it to Charles' site. I referenced this link
http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds

The only thing I know is not the same is the markers. Anyways here are the pics, they
are not that good, I do not know what is going on with my camera.

If this is a DDO than I got 4 rolls of them, they all look like this except a couple the
2 is a lot thicker.

Can't tell anything from the images.

LIBERTY is normally thick on large date 1982 cents....as is GOD. What you are looking for is separation in the E of WE and a notch in the leg of the R of TRUST--which is why your images don't do me any good at all. They are lit wrong.

Thank you again, I am going to work on my photo skills. Another lesson I have learned is to turn the coin around while I am looking at it. Lighting really plays some tricks on these BU cents with shadows. I will get all excited then turn the cent and what I thought I saw is gone. Are there a few DDO's you would recommend to look at in hand and are inexpensive?

Depends on what 'inexpensive' is..

You can get a decent 1995 DDO for around $20.
Same holds true with 1972 DDO#3 or #8...around $20 uncirculated.

Can't think of others right off hand.

I have to say I agree with Charles (even though the pictures aren't the greatest) I don't see any separation on the letters at all anywhere in the photos

The doubled die he is looking for is a class 6 doubled die - just extra thickness, not separation to speak of. Problem is, most large date 1982 cents appear to have extra thickness when compared to other dates. The key is to only compare 1982 large date cents to other 1982 large date cents.

At any rate, the doubled die has enough extra thickness to elongate the right leg of the R of TRUST to the extent that it creates a notch at the end of the leg. In a number of cases for class 6 doubled dies in the 70s, this particular attribute is what stood out enough to make the coin listable. I know of a 1974D and a 1978P right off hand without looking that fit this subject.

Go to https://www.coppercoins.com

Look in the upper left hand part of the page for 'die variety search' and click on it.

Plug in '1973' in the "from" box.
Plug in '1982' in the "to" box.

Leave the mint area alone.

Check "doubled die obverse".

Click "submit".

You should come out with 13 examples of doubled die obverses, most from the 1970s, and most fit the subject at hand. Minor class 6 doubled die obverses that show extra thickness to one degree or another, but the one attribute that is common to almost all of them is a notch at the corner of the right leg of the R of TRUST.

Inexpensive to me is anything under a $100. I appreciate the help, I own a few of your cents you attributed for PCI, I won them in the SLCC auction. I will try the search and see if anything interesting pops up!

I just ordered every DDO you had on your site from 1960-1970, there were no cents after 1970 on the site.
