I'll try my hand at grading again. I'll say not quite EF-40 but not VF-20 either, so VF-30. If there was a 35 in Canadian grading I would put it there.
Not sure what's going on with the parallel lines on the reverse.

I wish there is a "Photograde" for Canadian coins too.

The wear areas I suspect look worse than they are because of the contrast in color. First impression would be VF-20, but it's probably actually a VF-30.

VF 30 ..

..83's are very tough to find in the higher grades..very nice toning also..

giving this coin a second look, I think this might be a VF-30, it's just the reverse is not as pretty as the obverse... very nice coin though!
