I have used a loupe + iphone to get excellent focus and details, but wanted something I could do hands off and get good lighting. No luck, picture of setup and result... the hole makes the center of the image dark and focus isn't as good as with a loupe. Report this Post to the Staff

They work great for jewelry, bugs, and things you want to have light from all angles so you can see every nook and cranny and have no hotspots. Of course we don't want hotspots on coins either, but we want somewhat directional lighting to make the coin look like it does "in hand".
