Just picked this up for my 7070. Pics aren't that great, but grade and thoughts?

So far, you've been given quite a spread. I have not started on the $5 Indians nor have I read anything on the grading. I'll just hang around and learn. Nice coin though......

I'm definitely leaning more towards VF35. Too much wear on the headdress and the Eagles breast and neck. Beautiful coin though!

My weakness at these is clearly showing through! Luckily the rest of the forum has been more accurate than me.

Thanks for the feedback. The coin in hand looks better than a VF but borderline for an XF. I'm happy with it either way. I never thought growing up I'd have any gold but thus far I'm half way through the gold page on my 7070.

With just a bit of luster it'll make XF. If the surfaces are dull then VF35 is more appropriate.

Always hard for me to grade these, and I just love the BLP design!
I will go with VF30.

Love these incused coins. I wish we made some in Australia. From the photos I'd say it is a little flattened so I'd be in the VF camp rather than the XF camp. Still love it though.
