I think this is just a classic example of machine damage. Also, 82s are notorious for have large letters on the reverse.

i was looking at the letters S T T in state the tops also match the examples I saw and I went through about 100 and this was the only one I saw with the small tops of those letters in the examples on LCR ... by means I am no expert just a little more curious on this one .

The devices do show machine damage on some of them. But an interesting thing about the thinned devices:
1982-DDR?
I've seen this before:

Isolated polishing removed part of the fields, making the devices thinner

Oh my gosh one time I'll but something up that legit! I'm just trying to find one so then I'll just know . But until then I'm gonna still have to look like a fool lol

You will get there as you are seeing little stuff. When you find a variety, it will leap out at you and you will know for certain what you have. Don't sweat the little stuff. It is all part of training your eyes.
