Today's snow day was somewhat a productive day as I earned $10 shoveling a driveway and I found what I beleive to be a 1956 D LWC with a shadow d just to the right of the mintmartk. Its a bit hard too see in the photos, but its there. So, what do you think?

I don't see anything raised in that area. It might just be a field disturbance that is catching your eye. It should be raised if is is a RPM.
Even the 008 is raised"

1956D-1MM-020 is also raised:

I don't see that on your coin. Sorry

May need to give me a few days to figure out how to get a picture of this. I thought it would be as easy as picking up my iphone and snapping it. Its hard to focus and stay on the right spot I have just realized! Going to try to get it with the nikon tonight.

You might need to use some magnification of do the image justice. Not too much light creating glare. Most of the time when someone uses too much light, it concentrates on what they want to show. All we see is glare. So if your light source is too strong tale a piece of folded white paper and put that between the light source and the coin. That will reduce the glare without removing all the light and it removes the glare. If that is not strong enough, then try two sheets of paper. It makes a world of difference on the images. When taking full images of coins I use two sheets taped to a desk lamp. that does the trick for me:

Note how it doesn't touch the bulb.

For Micro Photos I use a scope.
