Your pictures did not work.. or at least I can't view them. Before you post, scroll down, and tap preview post. If you can't see them than no one can.

It's the "1950's Wheat Error" post, not showing up. But obviously every one else can. Can anyone see the pictures above or is it just me?

CCF is moving to a new server, pictures were lost in transition. I will re-post this tomorrow I guess.
Edit: I just re-posted the pictures. Can anyone see them?

A nice bath in mineral oil and blot dry would do great on your coin. Make sure to take an after picture to go with your before image. do not rub coin, just soak it and blot dry. It might remove some of the distracting color. Looks like a great coin.

Is that Virdigis? Will mineral oil help? Just asking.

I don't think it is verdigris, it is like a white powdery substance. There were a couple of cents that were covered in it, and one left a semicircle mark on the reverse. It has had a Verdi-care treatment and an acetone dip up to this point, and has been greatly improved. I have never tried mineral oil on anything before.

It coats the coin with something more natural (petroleum base) and will slow the green spot down. If a coin gets wet, make sure it is bone dry before putting it in a holder. Any water left over will start verdigris. To make sure use a hair dryer to remove droplets. (Best not to let water touch a coin though.)
