Hi everyone (once again):

I know that the U.S. Mint has Mint wrapped rolls for the westward journey nickels, State Quarters, kennedy halfs, and the golden dollars.

My question is do they do the same for pennies, and dimes? I was interested in buying a few rolls.

Thankyou very much!

Hi Ben,
I don't really think they have pennies or dimes but check the website out http://usmint.gov/index.cfm?flash=no

Maybe even check ebay.

I haven't seen any dime or penny rolls for sale by U.S. mint. They might exist for older dates.

The Mint has never sold "mint wrapped" cents, or dimes, and they have only sold nickel rolls for 2003 and the Westward Journey series.

If the Mint did sell a P&D set for pennies and dimes, would you buy them?

I'm pretty sure they'll sell mint wrapped cents in 20009.

I would probably buy them for 2009 only. Since their will be 4 different reverse designs for the Lincoln Cent, I will have to pick up 4 rolls.

I too was interested in penny rolls. I even called the mint to ask and you wouldn't believe what the girl on the phone said to me. She said oh no we don't sell penny rolls nobody like them you find them on the ground! I about fell over, couldn't believe someone from the mint had the nerve to say that. Maybe if we all call and request they might change their practice.

They sell rolls of their hyped up program coins...cents are just cents. You're far better off visiting your local bank and asking them if they have any "shiny" penny rolls. Short of that, Wal Mart and other major retailers often get BU rolls for change and would sell you a few. The mint is worthless when it comes to the modern circulating coins. They sell at a premium and you can get the exact same thing at face from a store or bank.

As noted by Conder101.
Not sure but that is what I've heard for many years. The Mint does not roll coins but sends them somewhere to be rolled. Again, I too have heard this many times but not sure if true.
