wow, this one is tough for me. I am thinking AU-58, but it may well be MS-62, not sure if I see any wear. Some CBH experts will come along and nail it.
Rest in Peace

I would think nothing less than AU55. As RK55 mentioned,
it's tough to tell if there is light wear or if it's just
strike issues. Beautiful example none the less.
Do I see signs of a die clash event?

There seems to be a fair amount of obvious rub on Liberty's cheek, bust, cap, and hair. The clasp is likewise worn in the center. The reverse looks stronger, with some luster remaining in the protected areas. Strike weakness may be somewhat responsible for blunt details on the talons, left (facing) wing edge, and olive leaves. The open fields have had enough friction to eliminate most of the luster there.

I'd peg this as EF-45 at best. Am I being too harsh?

I have to agree with Jaobler. Extra Fine at best and may be cleaned. This monitor is old and less than ideal for such things but I am hard pressed to say it has not been washed.

I'm at AU53. Although I love the luster on this one Imo its not enough for a higher grade. Nice detail in the hair around the ear. The reverse is really nice and well struck. Shes a beauty!

I first though EF45 so I'm sticking to that, but I'm not all that great at hitting the CBH grades out of the park.

Not that I think it's ms 60 but I have seen the way they grade bust halves in the past and could see them calling this a 60. It's a nice coin and there are many examples with this weak strike for that year. I think it's an au 55 but can't wait to see
