I would not want this coin in my collection. Despite whatever good price I could get on it, I wouldn't be happy with a coin as damaged as this. I would pay 10% of trends at most for this.

47p7 Funny you bring this one up. In person it sure is sad to hold this coin in ones hand and cry!! I was at Dix Noonan Webb on Friday. I viewed this and all the rest of the Canadian and U.S. lots on Friday morning. What a shame this 1893 round top is. It is always the rarities that seemed to get messed with. They already have a few bids on it. Proving that there is a market for a damaged coin like this. BTW I will not bid on this piece. It really is the old adage, a problem coin is always a problem, especially when reselling down the road.
47 OT"....... For the most part the Canada and Newfoundland in the sale is old dealer stock and mostly just stuff. The 1936 dot quarter is a cleaned EF .The 1936 regular issue a near gem coin and from the Remick sale of 2007. I left a bunch of bids with Chris already and might go back and look at a few again. I was pretty tired with just getting off the plane.

Pacific, no doubt, there is a lot of stuff in this auction. just wonder where they got that lot from?
Did you look at lot 507, the 70 and 72 quarters? most of them have the wrong ( high priced) obverse marked. I sent them a note and pix with corrections.. but so far , nothing changed.
there are a few items I will bid on. But not the 10 cent piece.
will u still be there at the auction live?

47 no I am going to the Landon sale leaving London on Wednesday early. I have left some bids already. Going on Monday to review again about five lots I was on the fence about. You are right about the listings you mentioned. I think they have bids on most of the Canadian, there will be a few unhappy buyers if they pay even close to estimate on some of these items. It is all one consignors stuff.
