They make folders for Canadian coins, right? Any US retailers sell them or are these generally online buys?

I buy albums from Gatewest in Winnipeg from a maunufacturer called Gardmaster. They are about $13 each Canadian. Perhaps someone Stateside sells them too.

I noticed you asked for possibly non on line dealers. That is sort of not an easy question for so many that today, use the internet for almost everything. There are many hobby type stores around like Hobby Lobby that carry coin collecting items. The best suggestion I could give you is to try to find local coin stores and just ask them. They most likely will not have any but possibly could get you some. Also, check to see if there are any coin shows or coin clubs in your area.

Being in the US, you could try a few larger US dealers. Brooklyn Gallery is one place I have bought stuff from. http://www.brooklyngallery.comI have bought Canadian albums, Whitman folders and other stuff from them...

Quote: They make folders for Canadian coins, right? Any US retailers sell them or are these generally online buys? Yes, they are available, just not sure were in your area. When I started collecting Canadian coins a few years ago, I was able to buy many Whitman folders at Barnes & Noble; but the last few times I checked them out they only had U.S. folders available. Last year I needed more folders and ended up buying a handful directly from Whitman. When I bought them (maybe 6-8 months ago) they didn't have any upgrades available so I have to use some older types. (The latest 'cents' folder did not correctly list the last five years and/or quantity of cents, the nickel folder ends in 2012, and the quarter folders end with the 2007 commons and/or the 2009 commemoratives)

Here's an ebay seller who is selling some new old stock from the '60s. I'm not a big fan of folders, but these are new, and should be "gassed-out" after more than 50 years. I bought a few for some low grade circulated US sets. He told me he's having a hard time selling the Canadian ones http://www.ebay.com/sch/Publication...ssn=bcponder

I sort of dislike Folders. However, it appears that not many companies make Albums for Canadian Cents. Lots of Folders though.

UPDATE:
I just checked out the Whitman website and found that they HAVE made newer/updated Canadian folders.
The "Number Two" small cents folder was updated to list the last two years of Canadian cents. I can not tell if it lists all of the final varieties or not, though.
A new "Number Three" nickel folder was made; which carries nickels from 2013 and up.
They made a new quarter folder, "Number Six", which hopefully contains holes for all of the quarters from 2007 and up.
