just checking what you guys think before I list this on ebay thanks, I'mnot sure but the obv in the same area looks like it may have not had the support of the whole coin to finish stamping the denticles

it almost looks like a partial ragged clip

I'm not certain but I'm leaning toward damage. It looks a bit too weird to be a clip. Is it just the photo or seen from the obverse it's not round? The bottom left (the part behind the missing metal) looks bulging out a little.

PMD. Whacked on the Obv side at sheared off the reverse on rough surface.
