I have been working on a set of late date large cents for a few months. I have been surprised at the quality of coins I've been able to afford from some good sellers. Some are better than others. I have 10 dates out of the full 19 (1839-1857).

This is the coin that got me interested in them in the first place. It was part of a "lot" of 11 low grade coins I got in an auction on ebay for $16 many months ago. I was drawn to this particular coin out of the group.

So $16 ÷11 = $1.45

Yep, a $1.45 large cent....

I culled several coins from my collection recently that were problem coins, but I didn't get rid of this one. I am rather attached to it.

Do you have an odd or "problem" coin that you wouldn't get rid of?

I've had this one for around 25-30 yrs now. I hate the corrosion on it, but love the details it has otherwise......

AcesKings, aside from the corrosion your coin bears a striking resemblance to 52Raymo.

Here's my 'keeper' - my only holed coin was rescued from a junk bin at a local coin show. I paid a lot more that Scott's $1.45 coin. Mine was $2.00 but that includes the 'feature' that allows me to hang it on a nail.
